Medusa is an interactive graphic interface and viewer. A graphic is made up of nodes and edges. The edges indicate interaction between nodes. In reality, Medusa works as a graphic interface for the database of interactions between proteins, called STRING.



The web interface that exists for STRING, although very complete, is totally static. It doesn`t let the user create their own network. For this you can take advantage of the services of this program: Medusa. It gives you much more freedon when manipulating STRING data. It is flexible and easy to use and install, and is totally free for academic use.



NOTE: As it is developed in Java, Medusa needs Java Runtime Environment installed.
